PGH Batteries is Winding Down Operations – “Retiring” – at the End of 2025

A Sincere “Thank You” to All of our Customers!

Thank you customers for your business! It is most gratifying that you have trusted PGH Batteries with your business.

Why is PGH Batteries Winding Down at the End of 2025?

We are retiring at the end of 2025. That means that our Internet and Phone messages will convey that PGH Batteries is closing at the end of 2025. We encourage customers that have other sources to consider using them. We won’t leave you high and dry if you call. Jim will endeavor to be your battery concierge, either helping you out in the short term or suggesting other suppliers. PGH Batteries will no longer stock any batteries after current stocks run dry.

From our prior experience with Battery Giant of Pittsburgh, we know we will still be getting calls from old customers 5 years from now.

Last Call for Lithium Battery Recycling from Existing Customers by November 30, 2025

We plan to send out our last pallet of lithium batteries early in December. Note that while we take normal lithium-ion batteries for free, we charge $5/lb. for swollen lithium-ion batteries, lithium primary batteries,  and lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries.

Earlier this year we stopped recycling alkaline batteries as well.

As long as Jim picks up the phone, Jim likely can help you dispose of lead acid batteries.
